This useful for understanding the mindset of
some on Doctors on the subject of TRT.
Abraham Morgentaler, MD, FACS
I've seen some his more recent comments
on when to do therapy and the comments
were reasonable. Not the silly red line the
sand thinking on threshold levels for TX..
Eberhardt Nieschlag, MD
I am much less impressed with this one.
I was seriously disappointed with the
book Andrology (1998?) in which he
was author or editor.
Nor was I impressed with his work comparing
TE given once every three weeks to TU given
on much longer time span. TU is brand named Nebido.
It will likely come to market at of after mid 2008 in the
States.
For TE to compete needs to be given on a 7 day basis
even the American Endocrine Society says
the TE is best used every 7 to 10 days. Not every
2 weeks and certainly not every 3 weeks.
Come on, Nieschlag that is stacking the deck.
TE does needs an update in its instructions, I suppose
our buddy Nieschlag can justly point out that many
even most doctors would still be following the dated instructions
for TE. After all how often do Doctors really stay current
with protocols of TX.
